Best Hedges/Bushes for privacy

We would like to plant bushes for privacy in our back yard. Someone recommended that Burnjng bushes get really tall. I bought some at Home Depot. When I got home I noticed they were called Dwarf burning bushes. Does that mean they won’t grow tall? Are these small? Is there something else that might work better? I would like it to grow to 5-6 feet.

Yes, if the plant is listed as compact or dwarf it might reach a few feet in height. Spirea and lilac are two consistent performers for hedges. Viburnum will also make a good privacy screen too.
